Texture Splattering - Working!!

Hey Clyde,

Since our last discussions here, I have been working on texture splattering on your Quadtree engine and now have something looking fairly decent I think.

It uses a shader and does all the applying of texture (including tiling) in the HLSL. Hopefully it might be of some use to you as I know you are thinking about this area yourself. The code needs cleaning up a little, and I need to generate/paint a full suitable map, but if you want a copy, I can send it to you.

I'd love to see your HLSL code for the splatting as well as the C# snippets that use it in the quadtree. What size area does a single alphamap cover (a sector or finer grained)?
